Phase One of renovations -- demolition. On Monday, July 2, we completed the paperwork
to purchase our new worship and ministry space! (1)
Soon after, a group of about 30 volunteers gathered to begin the demolition phase of renovations. We began with a group prayer. (2) We knew we'd need it!

Offices Become a Church The grayed area in the floor plan (3)
shows the area that was removed -- floor, walls, and ceiling. Altogether, we removed about 65 tons
of debris -- seven dumpsters full. This area will become the lobby, social hall, and sanctuary. See this page for the finished floor plan. Pictures (4) and (5) show demolition in progress.

What's Next? The walls, ceilings, and floors that needed to be removed are now gone -- thanks to
the incredible hard work of so many volunteers. (6-7) Our volunteers enabled us to cut the cost of demolition from $20,000 to about $7,000!
Architectural drawings have been completed for the renovation phase and were submitted for county permit on August 16.
While awaiting our permit, bids will be solicited from contractors. Renovation work is expected to begin in late September. The length of construction is difficult to predict at this time; we hope to move into the building by Christmas. (This
estimate was a bit too optimistic! We now expect mid- to late-January.)
Please keep this entire process lifted in prayer!
