“Midday passed, and they continued their frantic prophesying until the time for the evening sacrifice. But there was no response, no one answered, no one paid attention.” 1 Kings 18:29
Do you ever remember being in a dry season? Maybe you are in one right now. Life seems mundane. Talking to God is like talking to a brick wall. It seems as if God is raining on others and their fields are green and their flowers are blooming. Everything in life is wilting because there are no showers. These are times where we can turn to anything to give us that shower to take the desperation away. We want anything to fill that empty reservoir so that feeling goes away.
What are we doing, not just during the bad times, but in the good times, to make sure that it is God who is filling that reservoir in our soul? How are we cultivating a life where we build that relationship?
