Today’s scripture: Ephesians 6:10-20 (NRSV) (The Message) (KJV) What might God be saying to me?
My thoughts (Lynnette Pullen-Bradford):
Hey you!
Got a minute or two? I was hoping we could talk. First, let Me tell you how much I love you and how proud I am of you. I know sometimes you don’t feel that I love you, or you think I am disappointed when you make a mistake, but that is far from the truth. I love you more than you could ever imagine. I couldn’t be more proud of how you persevere through your mistakes. Stop obsessing about making the same mistakes; it’s not about that at all! It’s a learning process, and you are doing just fine. You have persevered through so much, and I know you are tired. That’s what I want to talk to you about. I have some plans for you. I have some places that I want to take you.
The reason you are still there, and not here with me, is because there is still a purpose for your life. In order to see what I have in store, you will have to let go of what you have now. I know how much you hurt right now. I know how much letting go scares you. I see the pain of your past and the fear of the future. You have deep pain. Sometimes you hurt so much that you can’t even find the words to express it. I know. I was there when those scars were forged. Even though sometimes you feel I left you, I didn’t. I am always with you. And I will be with you in this new season. I can tell you don’t completely trust Me. It’s alright. You are doing so much better with that than in the past, and I see the progress you have made with Me.
I noticed that you have been calling your loved ones to talk about all of this. That’s fine. But I miss you. I would love to sit and talk with you. I’ll never interrupt you. I will listen with an open mind and an open heart. You never have a time limit, and you can repeat yourself as many times as you need. You don’t even have to know how to say it; just feel it, and I will understand. I know you have been avoiding Me, and I know why. Don’t worry about all that. Just talk with Me. I am here, and I am listening. Remember, I love you, and there is nothing you could ever say or do to change that.
Love,
GOD
Thought for the day: God is listening. Don’t hesitate to start a conversation!
