Today’s scripture: Romans 8:38-39 (NRSV) (The Message) (KJV) What might God be saying to me?
My thoughts (Charlotte Egler):
Nothing can separate me from God’s love. Not Pokemon Go or cancer or the hectic schedule we have. I chose to live in the moment and breathe in God’s light and love and see the beauty and miracles all around me. The handsome young man that we have the joy of raising, the healing rays of the sunrise, the tomatoes and cucumbers growing in my garden, and the birds flying are all beautiful and meant to enrich me. Thank you, God. Thank you, Jesus.
Drew starts his first day of high school this fall. He celebrated the completion of two weeks of band camp on Saturday by going to Kings Island. I love you God, Jesus, and Spirit.
Prayer for the day: Thank you for Your presence in my life. Show me my path to healing my body, mind, and spirit.
We encourage you to include a time of prayer with this reading. If you need a place to get started, consider the suggestions on the How to Pray page.
