John 15:5
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."
When we are new in the faith, we have an excitement, a fire, that burns brightly and we are energized. We want to be rooted in the vine.
But then the light dims. Even goes out. The branches wither without any light. Why does that happen?
What have you done to cultivate your relationship with God? Have you gone up the mountain to pray all night like Jesus does many times in the Gospels? Metaphorically speaking of course. Or not. Jesus did it, and if he needed it, what does that say about us?
