The Middle Child

It’s one of the most famous verses in the Bible. I Corinthians 13:13: “FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE abide, these three. And the greatest of these is LOVE.”
We hear a lot about the… More first key word, faith, and the third key word, love. But we seldom hear much about the middle word, hope. As the middle child in my family, I understand. (smile)
The first child (faith) gets a lot of attention, and everybody dotes on the last child (love), the baby of the family. But what about the “Malcolm in the Middle”?
Hope is the theme for the first week of advent, so let’s turn our attention to the most neglected of the three greatest Christian virtues.
