As we assess where are spiritually as 2019 begins, and we look to where God is leading us to grow, having a realistic view of ourselves is part of the goal. At times, it is easy to allow outside forces to get the best of us, and drag us down, thinking we are not good enough, or smart enough, or talented enough, or attractive enough, etc.
Phillipians 4:8-9 can give us some hope. "Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things… and the God of peace will be with you."
