One was praying to God, "God!?" God responded, "Yes?" … (one) "Can I ask a question?" "Go right ahead," God said. … (one) "God, what is a million years to you?" God said, "A million years to me is only a second." … (one) "Hmmm," … "God, what is a million dollars worth to you?" God said, "A million dollars to me is as a penny." …(one) "God, can I have a penny?" And God cheerfully said, "Sure! Just a second."
In John 16, Jesus says to his disciples, “A little while, you will no longer see me, and again in a little while, you will see me.” Jesus was telling the disciples there are going to be periods where you will wait. But it is like that in life as well.
Waiting can be frustrating when we want something to happen, not right now, but yesterday! We can be waiting in the middle of a difficult time, or waiting when nothing is really happening at all. What should our attitudes be?
