My thoughts (Tammy Mills):
I’ve always been fascinated with dreams and their meanings. I like to think about my dreams and see if they give me any insight into my spiritual, emotional or physical condition.
Recently my youngest had a dream about me, Oprah and a whole bunch of shoes! I’m not sure what that dream meant, but I am excited that at least Oprah and I are in a dream together! Who knows — maybe this dream is prophetic and Oprah and I will end up in the Shoe Carnival together some day!
The King’s dream had to have gotten him pretty excited at first, but the second part of the dream was a real wake up call! It seems as though God was trying to give the King some insight into his spiritual condition.
Are you and I open to the insights God tries to give us? Those insights might come through dreams, friends, books, sacred text, or just about anywhere the Spirit can catch our attention. Wherever they come from we, need to tune in so we can continue to transform our lives to be more like Christ.
