When I was working as a Consultant in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry, my identity was all caught up in it. It is who I was: the salary, the complicated issues, working through obstacles, and having to know many different areas of science, engineering and medicine. It was a kind of head trip, and I was flying all over the world. When I was called into ministry, all of a sudden, what had been my life became meaningless. But making the change was difficult. I was giving up who I was – my identity. I no longer see myself that way today.
