Nature is in the midst of today’s scripture reading. References are made to the desert, fertile fields, hail, the forest, and a stream. Nature can provide peace, tranquility, and well being. Visualize such an experience in nature. On the other hand, with a clasp of the television remote, nature can be seen as a beast of destruction, a phenomena to fear. Ponder whether one’s soul and internal thoughts have a likeness to nature.
Prayer for the day: Lord, guide me as I cultivate my internal landscape so that I may reside in a peaceful dwelling place with quietness and confidence.
